This page explains, in plain words, what you are asked to agree to when you register on this website, what each choice does, and how to change your mind. It complements our Privacy Policy, which describes all the data we handle.
The short version
- No card required. Registering, the Free version and the 14-day trial never ask for payment details.
- You are asked for one required acknowledgement and two optional choices. They are separate, and none is pre-ticked.
- Saying no to the optional choices changes nothing about what you can download or use.
1. Privacy notice (required)
To register you confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy and that we may store your e-mail address, and the optional answers below if you give them, to manage your account and to guide the development of SimFlyMinimums. We also work out your country from your IP address when you register and store only the country. This is not a consent to marketing.
2. About you (optional)
Your experience level, the aircraft you fly most and an age range are optional. We use them only to decide which features to build next and, in aggregate, to understand who uses the product. You can leave any of them blank. Age is asked as a range, never as a date of birth.
Where you answer, that is your consent to us using the answers for this purpose. You can withdraw it at any time.
3. News, new versions and offers by e-mail (optional)
This is a separate box, and it is not ticked by default. If you tick it, we may e-mail you about new versions, new features and offers. We expect to write only occasionally. Every marketing e-mail will carry an unsubscribe link. We do not send marketing e-mail to anyone who has not ticked this box.
The one-time verification code and, if you buy Premium, your license key and receipt e-mails are service messages. You receive them whatever you choose here, because they are needed to provide what you asked for.
Changing your mind
- Marketing e-mails: use the unsubscribe link in any of them, or write to novreis@simflyminimums.com.
- Optional answers, or your registration entirely: write to the same address and we will remove or correct them.
- Withdrawing a consent does not affect anything we did with it before, and does not affect your use of the Free or Trial version.
What we keep as proof
So that we can show what you chose, we record the date and time you acknowledged the privacy notice and the date and time of your marketing choice, next to your registration record.
